How do I read the Outcomes / Activity feed?

Use outcomes as your per-tick recap first, then drill into details for audit-level debugging.

What Outcomes is for

Outcomes is your authoritative per-tick record of what the simulation processed for your nation. Use it after each tick to answer: what changed, why, and what action is next.

Open directly: Outcomes (last tick window)

Recap vs audit log

Use this two-stage reading pattern:

  1. **Recap mode** (fast): review the latest tick window to classify changes into build/market/war/economy.
  2. **Audit mode** (deep): inspect specific entries, explanations, and reason codes to prove root cause.

Recap tells you what happened. Audit proves why it happened.

How to read entries quickly

  • Start from most recent tick
  • Group entries by subsystem (economy, construction, market, war)
  • Compare deltas to actions you took before tick
  • Open Explain/details when a delta is unclear

Filters that matter

When noise is high, filter in this order:

  1. Tick window (latest first)
  2. Subsystem (economy/market/war/construction)
  3. Event/reason code type

If you get lost, reset all filters, then narrow one step at a time.

Explain + reason codes

Use Explain for numeric breakdowns and Reason codes for blocked actions. Together they provide both causal math and actionable remediation.

Common blockers:

  • AUTH_REQUIRED
  • NATION_OWNERSHIP_REQUIRED
  • LOCK_HELD

Suggested first-hour usage

Run your first loop from Nation dashboard, make one build/market/war action, then come back to Outcomes and verify each effect by tick.
